Leefield Station is a range of wines that celebrate the history of the iconic sheep and beef station located in the heart of the Waihopai Valley. Purchased in 2013 by Marisco Vineyards, the property inspired us to go back to the beginning with our winemaking approach.

This Pinot Noir has an alluring bouquet of cherries and strawberries, enhanced by notes of earth and spice.

Centuries of history and territory, encapsulated in and narrated by a wine that is famous the world over. You read Chianti, and you think of the hills, villages, parish churches and farmhouses where time has stood still since the peak era of beauty and taste, keeping them intact and authentic. This Chianti has a deep ruby colour, with reasonable depth and 'legs' indicating good structure. Perfumes of cherries and fresh red fruit, mingle with spicy, peppery notes. Lively and fresh in the mouth, with soft, rounded tannins. Good intensity, attractive structure and fine, long length.

Classic Côtes-du-Rhône with an evocative nose of dark berried fruit, savoury undergrowth, a hint of oak and nuanced spice. The palate displays supple red berry and sweet cherry flavours balanced by judicious acidity and nicely textured tannins complexed by earthy notes. Beautifully balanced and flavoursome and best drunk with roast beef and dauphinoise potatoes.

Red berries and plums, cinnamon and spice, with a smooth and silky finish.

A juicy blend of Grenache & Carignan from the Pays d'Oc region in France. The wine has a bouquet of ripe red and black fruit (raspberry, blackberry), spices, pepper and cinnamon. Starts off soft and round on the palate with silky structure. The tannins are bold, but not overbearing. The wine is lively and fruity, boasting a warm, fruity finish.

Nice, vibrant ruby red colour. Sweetly scented and classically "Martinborough" with a nice balance of red cherry, pretty florals and savoury, earthy notes. A delicious array of ripe and succulent red berry/cherry flavours and layers. Lovely spice and quite a lot of fruit and oak sweetness on the finish, complimented nicely by silky tannins and delicate acidity. Nice, fresh and youthful Pinot Noir expression. Great drinking now and will cellar nicely for 5 plus years. Food match with braised rabbit pappardelle.

This full bodied Pinot Noir from Waipara has classic dark plum, ripe blackberries and spicy warm chocolate notes. A beautiful match with New Zealand lamb, crispy duck, or any dish with equally robust flavours.

Over delivering on quality, the Chapoutier Côtes-du-Rhône Belleruche an intense wine with blackcurrant and raspberry notes complemented by notes of white pepper. The wine is juicy, powerful and fruity on the palate with lovely roasted notes, and silky, delicate tannins. The intense fruit notes and delicate tannins make it an ideal pairing for cuisine featuring, young milk-fed lamb, pasta putanesca or vegetable quiche.

This enticing Pinot Noir is full of attitude, style and extravagance. You will fall for its vibrant colour and juicy red fruit flavours. Aromas of decadent spice and sweet cherry are delivered with a fleshy, fruit driven, seamless finish. Seriously Sassy.

Deep ruby in appearance with aromas of dark fruit, such as blackcurrents, plums and boysenberries. Layered beneath there are also hints of tobacco, liquorice and cloves.

Upon release it is deep ruby in colour. The nose is brimming with vibrant red fruit including plum, raspberry and cherry. There are also hints of spice, vanilla and chocolate, with some underlying savoury notes. The wine is mouth-filling, yet balanced with plush velvety tannins, refreshing acidity and a prolonged finish.
