The result is a full flavoured, deliciously indulgent, opulent and warm, dry wine, dark and sweetly fruited with a hint of blackberry and plum, with a big hit of cocoa on the finish. An ideal partner for an antipasto platter featuring a range of salami and smoked meats, or any meaty casserole, like lamb shanks.

A medium intensity ruby red colour and a spicy bouquet with notes of red fruit and currants make this a round and ample wine with a very supple palate.

Full bodied with black plum and red berry fruit flavours are enhanced by the Bourbon oak ageing which lead to caramel, maple syrup and wood derived spice and flavour notes.

Rich, dark berry fruit and earthy complexity with lifted notes of sandalwood, cedar, violets, florals thyme and a hint of vanilla. A dense, weighty wine kept in check by firm tannin and gentle acidity with dives exceptional length across the palate. While approachable now, this wine will age positively for 15 plus years if cellared well.

On the nose, is a complex amalgam of dark berry fruit, cassis and roasted cocoa bean, lifted by more fragrant aromas of cedar, sandalwood and hints of dried lavender and thyme. The palate is full bodied with firm but fine-grained tannin and great length.
